February is here, bringing with it a month dedicated to crochet and, of course, love!
Let’s explore why crochet is more than just a craft; it’s an act of love. It all comes down to time. Creating something with yarn and a hook takes hours, and in today’s world, time is a rare and precious commodity. It’s not just about the hours spent; it’s also about the concentration, knowledge, learning, and practice that go into each stitch. When you invest that much time and focus into a project, you pour your heart and soul into it. For me, using my craft to bring joy to others is what love is all about.
This February, I am celebrating the theme of “Handmade with Love,” capturing the essence of love, comfort, and small joys as we embrace both Crochet Month and Valentine’s Day. It’s the perfect time to think about how we can show affection through thoughtful gifts that foster emotional connections.
This month, I’m excited to focus on beautifully crafted bundles that blend my love for crochet and painting. Picture charming crochet flower bouquets paired with delicate mini watercolor art, and adorable crochet flower purses complemented by more delightful watercolor pieces. These gift bundles are a perfect way to express heartfelt feelings for those you cherish, reminding them that a little handmade love goes a long way. Honestly, creating these has been a joy for me, as combining my passions for painting and flowers is simply *chef’s kiss*.
I’m excited to share that this month is going to be busy and full of creativity. Alongside a variety of offerings, I will be featuring special content on my Facebook and Instagram. Get ready for the “Made with Love” process videos, which offer a glimpse into the care and creativity that go into each piece. Plus, I will be celebrating Crochet Month with educational posts that highlight the beauty of this craft, and I will sprinkle in fun crochet facts to keep the spirit alive and inspire you throughout the month.
Be sure to mark your calendars for February 7th:

I will be at the Cabin Fever Craft Show at the Piney Run Park Nature Center in Sykesville, Maryland, in the Yurt. This event will showcase exclusive gifts you won’t want to miss, including unique blind bags and my brand-new Valentine’s-themed blind boxes. If they receive a warm response, I may even consider adding them to the website, so be sure to stop by and check them out!
Just like crochet flowers that never wilt, these gifts serve as lasting reminders of love and joy. Every stitch symbolizes the thoughtful care we give to those we love. In a world where we often feel rushed, taking the time to create something with our hands is a powerful expression of connection and kindness.
Let’s embrace this February as a celebration of love in all its forms: the love we give, the love we share, and the love we infuse into our crafts.
Happy February and Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love,
Kathryn
